ProtoCarrier

The ProtoCarrier enables original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to rapidly and easily add cloud connectivity and building and industrial automation protocol translation support to new and legacy devices, without the time and expense of redesigning hardware.

Sierra Monitor pre-programs the ProtoCarrier solution and maps each device to support the various protocols and configurations, including BACnet MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, LonWorks, and many others. No software or configuration files are required to install the device in the field.

8. Configuration Auto-Selector (via DIP switches)

Enable manufacturers to pre-load multiple predefined configurations

  • Store multiple predefined configuration files
  • Select the active configuration file with DIP switches on the fly
  • Utilizing the FS-GUI (Graphical User Interface), a different configuration file can be downloaded
  • Up to a maximum of 1000 Modbus registers can be included in a configuration file
