Intelesite™ Cell Site Facility Control

Intelesite™ Cell Site Facility Control System

Various modules are available in the Intelesite™ system to monitor these elements in a cell site facility. Move your mouse over the diagram below or the modules around the diagram to view details about these elements in the window to the right.

For more information

HVAC Control Module (HCM)

  • Powered by HVAC 24 VAC to insure operation if CCM fault occurs. Allows continuous air conditioner operation during site retrofit.
  • Installs in existing junction box immediately adjacent to the HVAC pack.
  • Communicates via I/O bus to CCM reducing wiring and installation costs.
  • Temperature sensor with set points automatically updated by CCM, double redundant HVAC control in event CCM fault or power loss.

Fan Control Module (FCM)

  • Powered by 48 VDC site power distributed on Intelesite bus cable.
  • Installs adjacent to exhaust fan system, communicates via serial I/O bus link to CCM.
  • CCM algorithm utilizes exhaust fan for cooling when outside temperature meets preset activation levels.
  • Available pre-packaged 48 VDC exhaust fan sub-system includes supply air louvers, rain hoods and rodent guards.

DC Load Shed Control Module (DCM)

  • DCM monitors site voltage to implement load shedding is required
  • Dry contact relays supply control instructions to external DC contactors (by others)
  • Permits pre-defined load shedding based upon either loss of commercial power and/or high temperature
  • Two additional normally open relays that can be used to trip main DC power in event of high temperature or emergency shutdown

Generator Interface Module (GIM)

  • Multiple wiring pairs need not be run from generator to site alarm systems reducing wiring costs
  • CCM firmware manages and groups alarms: individual, minor/major, summary

Battery Interface Module (BIM)

  • Midpoint voltage monitoring on up to 6 battery strings, deviations from prescribed limits generate alarm
  • Monitoring of DC plant voltage – voltage drop below a prescribed limit will generate low DC plant voltage alarm

Smoke Detector (TSD)

  • Photoelectric smoke detector with both audible and visual alarm in addition to dry contact alarm output to CCM
  • CCM logic suppresses all air handling when smoke alarm is present

Outside Temperature Probe

  • Senses outside temperature to provide information to CCM for management of economizer cooling

Central Control Module (CCM)

  • Direct replacement for thermostat/electromechanical HVAC controllers
  • Supports all remote module functions, upgrade easily with additional remote modules
  • Central display and management of data from remote modules
  • ProtoCessor option supports serial communications from intelligent site support elements
  • ProtoCessor Serial option for interface with site instrumentation including generator, fire panel, battery monitor and others
  • ProtoCessor option for a wide variety of Ethernet protocols and WebServer interface
