The Sentry Gas Risk Management System has a variety of calibration and
sensor options to insure accurate and reliable monitoring of hazardous
gases.
A variety of accessories help Sentry systems provide accurate and reliable monitoring of hazardous gas conditions. These options aid in providing a system designed to meet the specific needs of the user.
Calibrators - a selection of calibrator systems and calibration gases to enable the user to easily and properly calibrate the gas sensor modules
Sample Draw Products - used in applications in which the sensor cannot be installed directly at the gas sensing location, due to poor accessibility or the harshness of the environment
Printer aids in management of your gas risk with the ability to print a variety of pre-formatted reports.
Analog Input The analog input modules, 5100-90 (multichannel) and 5100-99 (single channel) enable the user to use any sensing device that produces a 4-20 mA DC signal to communicate with Sentry through an Analog/Digital signal converter.
Output Expansion Module The output expansion module provides the same capacity as the Individual Relay Panel, plus it provides 4-20 mA DC outputs proportional to the concentration for each sensor module.
Mounting options Controllers are available in enclosures (NEMA 4X or NEMA 7, or in rack mount or panel mount configuration. In addition, custom systems are available.
Rainshield - The Model 5311-00 Rainshield is mounted over the sensor head to protect the sensor from direct exposure to rain, hosedown and other splashing liquids.
Duct Mounting Fitting - The Model 5394-00 Duct Mount fitting facilitates installation of the gas sensor module onto an air duct. The fitting also includes the 5360-00 calibration gas delivery fitting so that calibration gas can be delivered to the sensor without removing the module from the duct.
Battery Backup The battery back-up system provides operating power when AC power drops below 90VAC. Includes battery, AC line filter, two battery charging modes, and a 12 to 24 VDC converter.
Calibration
Adapters - The Sentry system is designed for easy calibration
of the sensor modules. The standard calibration adapter screws over the
head of the sensor. The calibration gas is fed through a tube connected
onto the adapter. The magnetic calibration adapter (5358-00) is commonly
used with Sentry gas sensor modules. The magnetic calibration adapter
activates a switch in
the sensor module. When the adapter is first applied to the sensor the switch
closes to indicate the start of calibration and the zero gas stage. The second
time the adapter is applied to the module, the switch closure indicates that
span gas is being applied. When the magnetic adapter is removed, the module
knows that calibration is complete and sends the appropriate signal to the
controller. A non-magnetic calibration adapter (5398-01) is also available.
