Gas Detection and Gas Detectors from Sierra Monitor

Sierra Monitor offers a wide range of gas and flame detectors and control systems to protect your personnel and facilities.

The gas monitoring system you need depends upon the scope of the hazardous gas risk. In applications with a high level of risk or where the hazard is present throughout the facility, the Sentry Gas Detection System will meet your need. With extensive diagnostic capability, flexible configuration, Ethernet capability, LANServer, expandability, and the ability to interface with plant-wide control systems, Sentry is the brilliant choice.

The new IT Series Gas Sensor Modules enables the user the most flexibility in configuration with 4-20mA, Sentry, relay-contact and Modbus RTU outputs. Combined with non-intrusive calibration, digital display, extensive diagnostics and FM approvals, the IT Series will meet most gas detection needs.

For applications requiring a 4-20 mA interface to existing PLCs or controls, Sierra Monitor provides analog gas detectors having 4-20 mA output that can interface with other control devices.

And, for applications where the risk is minor, a simple gas monitor interfacing with an alarm panel that provides an output when the concentration reaches the alarm setpoint will meet your need.

In some cases it is necessary to monitor for hazardous gases over a large area, indoors or outdoors. Open Path Gas Detection offers unprecedented reliability in real-time monitoring of gaseous emissions over these large areas. They can monitor gas/vapor concentrations from the PPM to LEL levels in a wide range of hazardous conditions and ambient air monitoring.

Flame detectors from Sierra Monitor are often used in conjunction with gas detectors to meet safety requirements.

Sierra Monitor also designs and builds custom systems for all industries and special application monitors and controllers for the telecommunications industry.

Sentry System

Gas Detection SystemThe Sentry Gas Risk Management System is an intelligent approach to plant-wide hazardous gas detection. Multi-channel capability, extensive diagnostics, wide range of gases sensed, local display of information, serial Modbus communication, Ethernet capabilities, remote alarm/display option, centralized alarm panel and proven reliability makes Sentry the trusted guardian of your facility.

Analog Gas

Hazardous Gas DetectorsThe 4-20 mA Analog Gas Sensors include detectors for combustible gas, toxic gas and oxygen deficiency with 4-20 mA output of gas concentration. Various models are available that include digital display, non-intrusive calibration, alarm relays and Modbus communication. Each of these models include a 4-20 mA output signal of gas concentration to interface to PLCs and other control devices.

Gases monitored by SMC

Gas Alarm Systems

Gas MonitorsThe Gas Alarm Systems basic go/no-go gas alarms and monitors. They include visual alarm indication and relay output and on some models include audible alarms. These monitors are used in areas with minimal risk not requiring interface to remote locations. Gas Alarm monitors are available for combustible gas, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide.

Flame Detectors

Flame DetectorThe Flame Detectors from Sierra Monitor include Industrial flame detectors utilizing a multi-spectrum design that can detect both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon based flames with the same detector. With the widest cone of vision in the industry the Sierra Monitor flame detectors can detect flames over a wider area.

In-Stream Analyzer

Hydrogen Sulfide AnalyzerThe In-Stream Analyzer detects Hydrogen Sulfide in a Methane gas stream. The Model 4400 In-Stream Analyzer does not require any tapes that need a hazardous disposal permit to discard. Nor does it require the addition of hazardous chemicals for analysis.

Custom Systems

Gas Detection SystemsSierra Monitor can design Custom Systems designed for a variety of industrial, commercial and military applications. Our panel shop has been UL approved so we can design and construct full panel systems to meet your gas detection application needs.
